Today, I want to share with you some of the common MLM mistakes made by network marketers in the industry.
Not targeting the right audience
Most of the network marketers out there are targeting the opportunity seekers instead of opportunity buyers. An opportunity buyer is a person who believes in network marketing/ML M potential and is looking for solutions to achieve his goals in his network marketing business. On the other hand, opportunity seeker is a person who is skeptical of the opportunities he comes across and does not take action. Whom would you like to work with? I personally would love to work with an opportunity buyer.
Money lies in the business
Today, I hear lot of people say that money lies in the business. It is not true. Money actually does not lie in the business but in the highly targeted list that you build over a period of time. I would highly recommend you to start building your list even if you do not own a business currently. Why? Because you can start making money from day one when you join an opportunity
Extremely focused on promoting the business
Today, there are so many opportunities (websites) out there and people are really overwhelmed with information on the internet. People are looking for real leaders who can provide value and assist them in achieving their goals. So, it is very highly critical for you to position as a leader and provide value.
It is a known fact that people join you and not your business. And people will join you only if they can trust you. Today, I see a lot of internet marketers pitching about their business on social media. Let s say two network marketers are having a conversation and are pitching about their business. Do you think there is any probability of a relationship between them? Absolutely not. On the other hand, if you position as a leader and provide solutions for taking network marketing business to the next level, people will value you and sooner or later would join you.
Ignoring self funded proposal
Why do 97 % of network marketers fail? They fail for only two reasons
• Lack of Leads
• Cash Flow
Most of the network marketers are not able to generate massive leads. Even if they do, they are not able to monetize their list and generate cash flow. Why?
It is a known statistic that 95 % of the leads generated by a marketer do not join his primary MLM business. How do 3% network marketers make money though 95 % of the leads do not join his business? They use a self funded proposal to sustain the expenses of their primary MLM Company and generate massive cash flow.
If you are serious about network marketing, you need to have a self funded proposal in place along with your primary MLM business. What is a self funded proposal? In short, you promote various affiliate products such as courses, tools etc that could help your list achieve their goals and monetize.
Not applying Law of Buying Consistency
This is closely tied with the self funded proposal I talked above. Law of buying consistency states that if a person buys a product worth $1, and then there is a good probability of him buying a higher value product.
Today, I see a lot of internet marketers directly promoting their higher end value products or even their MLM opportunity to their list. You might lose your leads for good if you follow this approach. You need to test the appetite of the person before promoting a product. Apply the law of buying consistency consistently and test the appetite of the person promoting the lower end value products before promoting higher value products.
